Terms of Service

SanityCheck runs AI agents against web applications you specify. You describe a test in plain English; we drive a real cloud browser against your target application, record what happened, and report a result. Agents are non-deterministic: two runs of the same test can take different paths and reach different conclusions.

This is the most important term in this agreement. You may only direct SanityCheck at systems you own or are explicitly authorized to test. By launching a run you represent and warrant that:

• you own the target application, or you have written authorization from its owner to run automated tests against it;
• any credentials you store with us are ones you are entitled to use for that purpose; and
• your testing does not violate any agreement you have with a third party, or any applicable law.

You are responsible for the traffic your tests generate and for any consequences of running them. We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is testing systems without authorization.

You agree not to use SanityCheck to:

• access, probe, or scan systems you are not authorized to test;
• attempt to guess, brute-force, or stuff credentials, on any system;
• generate load intended to degrade or deny service to any system;
• scrape or harvest data in violation of a site's terms or applicable law;
• circumvent security controls, rate limits, or bot protections belonging to a third party; or
• attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to SanityCheck itself.

We enforce per-plan usage limits and may apply additional technical limits to protect the service and our infrastructure providers.

You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate registration information and be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Notify us at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised.

You keep all rights to the applications you test, the test descriptions you write, the files you upload, and the results we produce for you ("your content"). You grant us the limited right to process your content in order to operate the service — running your tests, storing your history, and providing support.

Credentials you store for a target application are encrypted at rest and are used only to sign in to that application during your tests. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle them and which providers are involved.

You can connect SanityCheck to third-party services — sign-in with Google or GitHub, and deploy triggers from GitHub, GitLab, or Vercel. When you connect one, you authorize us to access that account as described in the Privacy Policy, and you are responsible for complying with that service's own terms. You can disconnect an integration at any time, and we access only what the integration needs to function. We are not responsible for third-party services or for changes they make that affect an integration.

Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through our payment processor. Each plan includes a fixed number of agent test runs per billing period. These are hard caps, not metered overages: when you reach your limit, further runs are blocked until the period resets or you upgrade. We do not bill you for usage beyond your plan.

You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; your plan remains active until the end of the period you have paid for. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If a payment fails, we keep your plan active while the processor retries, and will ask you to update your payment method before downgrading you.

We may change prices with reasonable notice. Price changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.

We are a young service and we change it often. We may add, modify, or remove features. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime commitment, and runs depend on third-party infrastructure (cloud browsers, AI model providers) that can be unavailable or slow.

SanityCheck is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

In particular: a passing test is not a guarantee that your application is correct, secure, or bug-free, and a failing test is not a guarantee that it is broken. Agents can misread a page, miss a defect, or report a false failure. SanityCheck is a testing aid, not a substitute for your own review, judgment, and release process. Do not rely on it as the sole gate for anything that matters.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to these terms or the service.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service in breach of these terms — in particular, claims arising from testing a system you were not authorized to test.

You may stop using the service at any time and request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if your use poses a risk to the service or to third parties. We will give you notice where it is practical and lawful to do so.

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give reasonable notice — for example by email or an in-app notice — before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any competent court.
